Winter Fishing in Destin

Winter Fishing in Destin

If you’re fishing in Destin during the winter, you’re in luck! The bite is still hot, just like our summer days! There are ample amounts of fish that will bite, but we cannot keep all of them this time of year. Florida has some of the most protected fishing laws as we are known for our fishing; therefore, we must keep our waters thriving! During the months of December, January, and February, you can expect to catch Red Fish, Flounder, Trout, Black Snapper, Mingo, White Snapper, Red Snapper, maybe a few Grouper, and Trigger Fish. First and foremost, we abide by FWC Fishing Regulations; therefore, if a fish is too small, too big, or not in season; it gets released to see yet another day. March is when you’ll see the fishing starting to fire back up. March is known for Cobia season, Sheepshead, Spanish Mackerel, King Mackerel start showing up, Pompano, and you still get the same bite from the fish you see in the winter, such as, Trout, Red Fish, Black Snapper, Mingo, White Snapper, Trigger Fish and more!

Just because it is a little chilly outside, doesn’t mean the fish aren’t there. Bring your family down for a ride on the boat, throw some line and get hooked on your next catch! Capt Joey and Capt Adam are ready to help you make memories with your family. Call us today to schedule your trip at 850-226-3127 or 850-420-5502 and ask us about our winter deals!!

Tight lines,
